The EditDroid video editing system was developed by Lucasfilm in the early 1980s as a kind of pre-Avid/Final Cut Pro computerized video editing system. A commerical disappointment, the system relied upon the use of video stored on recordable laserdiscs. One of the original Lucasfilm laserdiscs that was used to demonstrate the EditDroid system at conventions and tradeshows is currently for sale on ebay. This disc contains 50 Raw unedited takes of the Dagobah scene from the film Return of the Jedi, featuring Luke Skywalker and Yoda in some never before released material including slates, people yelling action, and multiple takes of the same scenes. A truly rare piece of Star Wars History.
