While more directly tied to the movies, Star Wars Death Star Battle wasn't all that much better. In the game you control the Millenium Falcon in an attack on the Death Star, similar to that in Return of the Jedi. Blast the incoming fighters and slip through a hole in the defense shield to batter down the outside of the Death Star and expose it's more vulnerable core. IF you manage to destroy it and avoid the debris, the game loops back to the start.
